Grounds
The Club is set in beautiful landscaped grounds, forming a major part of the local conservation area, high above the quietest stretch of the seafront promenade. There are 9 grass courts available during the summer season and 9 floodlit courts (3 acrylic, 3 macadam and 3 artificial grass) for play throughout the year and available for hire. All the courts are maintained in excellent condition by our full time groundsman. Within the grounds of the Club is an 18 hole putting green.
Clubhouse
The spacious clubhouse was rebuilt in 2002 and features a large, airy main room over-looking the grass courts and an upstairs bar with an extra seating area that has views over all the grounds. Standing on the balcony you can watch play on the courts, see several historic buildings and enjoy the view of the sea. There are pool and table tennis tables and of course showers and changing rooms and a modern kitchen. The clubhouse is used for social events and is available for hire.
Activities
The club has a number of regular sessions for members. There is a regular club session for all members on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm, and also adult social tennis on Wednesday mornings at 10am. On Sunday mornings at 10am, there is fun, social tennis, especially suitable for new members or the less serious player. There are also other regular events - please ask for details. As well as this, the club has mens, ladies and mixed teams in the Suffolk League, there is an extensive coaching programme for adults and juniors. Plus there are also a number of social events.
